The Lise Meitner medal is my most recent medal where I have included crystals. It was made for the FIDEM XXXV Congress in Ottawa. The call was for medals about women in Science. I chose Lise Meitner who was a Jewish Austrian/ Swedish nuclear physicist. She worked on radioactivity. She collaborated with Otto Hahn and together they discovered Nuclear Fission. In 1944 Otto Hahn received the Nobel prize for chemistry for this discovery. Lise Meitner was overlooked. I made this medal in recognition of her work. This medal is my award to her.
